Woodland Critter Collection

The dust from our adventures attending Surtex have somewhat settled, and summer is in full swing here. One of the most enjoyable pastimes during the beautiful days of the season is to be in the outdoors. It has been great to take the opportunity to get out and enjoy some quiet time in the majestic Wasatch mountain range.  A beautiful system of trails can be found at Brighton Ski resort located in Big Cottonwood canyon. From the base of the mountain we went to visit Lake Mary, and while this is all watershed and protected so we aren't allowed to swim in the waters, we still drank in the soothing sounds and refreshing colors.

Enjoying a short respite from our hike along the water's edge is a wonderful way to get caught up with our breathing so we can recuperate a little and also take in more of the sights.

Of course we were harassed by the locals! Many of these cute little creatures are brave enough to come and check out the visitors, hoping for a granola bar crumb or a tasty piece of fresh fruits or veggies!

These adventures during the summer on the mountain trails of Utah were an inspiration to create a woodland critter collection.

The quaking of the aspen trees, the colors of the different flora and the chirping of the squirrels are all a part of the story being shared in these designs. We feel so grateful that there is so much inspiration in the world around us and are happy to have the opportunity to share the results with the world!
