Happy New Year!

Wishing everyone out there a wonderful 2013! Who wouldn't be excited about seeing the new year with Pantone announcing Emerald as the color of the year??

What a great holiday season! In the art world it seems Christmas is a year-round. It doesn't matter what season it is there are always Christmas projects in the works. But that doesn't mean we aren't excited to run to the stores to see all the new holiday products. We were very happy to make it to our local CVS Pharmacy to see the Fat Tabby designed Give-A-Gift tins by Seastone. The interactive gift card holders were fun to create and made great presents!

Freaky Felt Fun!

We are so in love with the characters from our Hauntingly Halloween collection that we tried our hand at creating "felt" dolls! Who knew they would be such fun to create!

"Sun" Diego!

It's here! After months of anticipation and prep we finally relocated ourselves to San Diego! For those of you that have been to our booth and met Andrew, he was offered a new position with his company. We decided we could not pass on such a great opportunity. So good bye mountains and Salt Lake winters and hello beaches and ocean breeze! Lucille, "the Fat Tabby", totally agrees that we never need to move again. Twelve hours in the car was about 11 hours and 59 minutes more time than she needed!

Back To School Time!

Who doesn't love the smell of fresh crayons? The shopping for new clothes? Finding out who is going to be in your class? Yes, it is time to head back to school! FTS caught the "school spirit" and created a collection of kids and colors to excite everyone! These patterns and images are available for licensing!

Christmas Heatwave!

Fat Tabby Studio has been busy creating new Christmas artwork for manufacturers this summer. It has been very hard to be in the Christmas Spirit when we have been faced with 100 degree temperatures for weeks!

Woodland Critter Collection

The dust from our adventures attending Surtex have somewhat settled, and summer is in full swing here. One of the most enjoyable pastimes during the beautiful days of the season is to be in the outdoors. It has been great to take the opportunity to get out and enjoy some quiet time in the majestic Wasatch mountain range.  A beautiful system of trails can be found at Brighton Ski resort located in Big Cottonwood canyon. From the base of the mountain we went to visit Lake Mary, and while this is all watershed and protected so we aren't allowed to swim in the waters, we still drank in the soothing sounds and refreshing colors.

Enjoying a short respite from our hike along the water's edge is a wonderful way to get caught up with our breathing so we can recuperate a little and also take in more of the sights.

Of course we were harassed by the locals! Many of these cute little creatures are brave enough to come and check out the visitors, hoping for a granola bar crumb or a tasty piece of fresh fruits or veggies!

These adventures during the summer on the mountain trails of Utah were an inspiration to create a woodland critter collection.

The quaking of the aspen trees, the colors of the different flora and the chirping of the squirrels are all a part of the story being shared in these designs. We feel so grateful that there is so much inspiration in the world around us and are happy to have the opportunity to share the results with the world!
